Centre of Gravity- Demonstration Model

Boyle’s Law Apparatus, Sensor-Based Model

Operating Principle

This instrument functions by recording the gas volume and pressure under different conditions. As pressure exerted on the gas increases, the gas volume contracts. Conversely, reducing the pressure allows the gas to expand. This inverse relationship aligns with Boyle’s Law, mathematically expressed as:

P × V = k,
where:

  • P is the pressure of the gas,

  • V is the volume, and

  • k is a constant at a fixed temperature.

The apparatus enables direct comparison of initial and final states—P₁V₁ = P₂V₂—providing a clear and measurable demonstration of this foundational principle in gas behavior.

Description

The Boyle’s Law Demonstrator is an educational and laboratory-grade apparatus crafted to experimentally validate Boyle’s Law—which states that the pressure and volume of a gas are inversely related when temperature remains constant. This device provides accurate control and measurement of both pressure and volume, allowing learners and researchers to directly observe how varying one affects the other.
